BFi Sight and Sound

To celebrate Sight and Sounds 80th birthday and the unveiling of a new digital archive I was commissioned to create a piece of music for this cinema advert. I had used recordings from the BFi's own projector collection. A really lovely project put together by why not associates. 
 

Foley Studio Up and Running

I have spent the last few months turning my garage into a Foley studio, designed by my friend Derek Renolds from Sudbury Sound Labs. Fully sound proofed and isolated from the outside world, I now have four Foley pits complete with rock mud and magnetic tape and trays of old junk....

Design Council Living Well with Dementia

The Design Council in partnership with the Department of Health has funded and supported the development of five innovative new design solutions to improve the quality of life for people living with dementia. I worked on a series of short films with why not associates introducing these design solutions. I edited, mixed and for one film had to create Foley for a dog.

Lancashire Cancer charity video

Another job for Wash Design, a advert for a Cancer charity. I had to make Foley for the giant coin rolling from the top of a hill through towns and into a city. To get this sound I recorded my car rolling down our local byway.  I then mixed it with a few metallic sounds and then put it through a doppler to give it a bit movement.

Yoda Vodafone

Part of the Vodaphone Yoda advertisement campaign I recorded the location sound, editied and provided the mix for a "The Office" style short film introducing Yoda as the new member on the Vodafone team. The film was commissioned by RKCRYR.

Dirt

I spent most of May working on Dirt, a feature length film by up coming director Daniel Fawcett. Really nice film, shot around a small Essex coastal village. Kind of a cross between Korine, Herzog and Jarmusch.... Music by Dead Rat Orchestra.

Garden Stories

I worked on a guerrilla film about gardening! Fly the on the wall film documenting the characters and stories central to a Cambridge University garden.

JOSEPH

Sound for a beautiful, odd short film about Joseph a lone musician living in Taos County, New Mexico. Directed by Andy Wilson who filmed it after a chance meeting with Joseph on Route 64.

Trust

Created and mixed sound for a new film by Runa Islam. Commissioned as part of the UN celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
